Review: Vision in Silver by Anne Bishop

Title: Vision in Silver
Author: Anne Bishop
Series: Book Three in The Others Series
Published By: Penguin (March 3, 2015)
Source: Purchased
Genre: Adult Dystopain/Fantasy
My Rating: 5 Stars!

Book Description:
The Others freed the  cassandra sangue  to protect the blood prophets from exploitation, not realizing their actions would have dire consequences. Now the fragile seers are in greater danger than ever before—both from their own weaknesses and from those who seek to control their divinations for wicked purposes. In desperate need of answers, Simon Wolfgard, a shape-shifter leader among the Others, has no choice but to enlist blood prophet Meg Corbyn’s help, regardless of the risks she faces by aiding him.

Meg is still deep in the throes of her addiction to the euphoria she feels when she cuts and speaks prophecy. She knows each slice of her blade tempts death. But Others and humans alike need answers, and her visions may be Simon’s only hope of ending the conflict.

For the shadows of war are deepening across the Atlantik, and the prejudice of a fanatic faction is threatening to bring the battle right to Meg and Simon’s doorstep…

It didn't take me long to fall in love with Simon, Sam, Henry, Tess, Vlad, Meg and okay, a ton more people that I won't name because the list is long. Because of that list though, this series truly is one of a kind.

So many different people, creatures, beings, in short, The Others, to love that it makes it so much fun, so interesting, and entertaining to read that before you know it, you are completely hooked.

In fact a four hundred plus page book, goes by in the blink of an eye because you become so absorbed in it, it really is that good and that well written.

If I had to sum up this series is just a few adjectives these would be them, captivating, entertaining, original, fun, and unforgettable. I'm sure there are more that I could use but in short, those words are why I will continue to read this series and come back to it each time a new book comes out. There is just something about it that holds your interest and makes you think about it constantly, whether reading it or not.

The type that you hope gets picked up for a movie or tv series because you don't want it to end and you want to see all those beloved characters come to life so you can watch them and read about them because either way, you just can't get enough of them.

  3. I so love this series. I think the crows are my favorite. Their fascination with The Meg and the shiny just crack me up. I've been stalking my audiobook publisher for the next book for review. ;-)
