Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine. It is a chance to share those new releases were are super anxious to get our hands on and read.
So I can't help, the lady hasn't written anything in years and this somewhat appeals to me. More than anything, I'm super curious about it and I don't even care who knows about it. :P
In all seriousness, I loved The Host, it was a good book and the movie wasn't half bad either.
So anyways, what do you think?
Book Description:
In this gripping page-turner, an ex-agent on the run from her former employers must take one more case to clear her name and save her life.
She used to work for the U.S. government, but very few people ever knew that. An expert in her field, she was one of the darkest secrets of an agency so clandestine it doesn't even have a name. And when they decided she was a liability, they came for her without warning.
Now, she rarely stays in the same place or uses the same name for long. They've killed the only other person she trusted, but something she knows still poses a threat. They want her dead, and soon.
When her former handler offers her a way out, she realizes it's her only chance to erase the giant target on her back. But it means taking one last job for her ex-employers. To her horror, the information she acquires only makes her situation more dangerous.
Resolving to meet the threat head on, she prepares for the toughest fight of her life, but finds herself falling for a man who can only complicate her likelihood of survival. As she sees her choices being rapidly whittled down, she must apply her unique talents in ways she never dreamed of.
In this tautly plotted novel, Meyer creates a fierce and fascinating new heroine with a very specialized skill set. And she shows once again why she's one of the world's bestselling authors.

I wonder, for now I'm not that much a fan of her books
ReplyDeleteI'll be watching to see what people think before I try it. I loved The Host too. I didn't hate the Twilight books, but I didn't think they were as wonderful as some people made them out to be.
ReplyDeleteMelanie @ Hot Listens & Rabid Reads
I agree Melanie, I liked them but I wasn't completely nuts over them like I know some were, in fact, I preferred The Host over them all. Hopefully this will be a good one as well.
DeleteI agree, I liked the Host. This is definitely a WoW for me.
ReplyDeleteGlad you think so too Tyler!
DeleteI am still a Meyer's fan, even if she hasn't given me the sequel to The Host. LOL! I can't wait to read this one as well, so I hope we both love it!
ReplyDeleteMy WoW
I know that was weird, what ever happened to the sequel?
DeleteOoh the marvelous Ms Meyer has a book coming out and what a great cover. Thanks Kindlemom
ReplyDeleteHopefully it will be good, I like the premises so fingers crossed. ;)
DeleteI've been wondering about this one but I always struggle with her books.
ReplyDeleteSimply Angela
Yeah, I think I'll hold off buying it until I see some reviews come in for it but it still does look really interesting!
DeleteOhh, it's been so long since her last novel. I can't wait to see how she did with this one, but I'm also a bit scared that I won't like it.
ReplyDeleteI feel the same way Maja, especially with the long absence from writing.
DeleteI absolutely adored The Host as well Ali! I've definitely got this one on my list and couldn't be more excited for it:)
ReplyDeleteYay! I can't wait to read some reviews for it, hopefully some start popping up soon.
DeleteI've never read her books. I did enjoy The Host movie though. Maybe I'll give this book a try. Thanks for sharing :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Wednesday!
Shane @ Itching for Books
The movie was actually pretty good and followed the book pretty well too. Fingers crossed this ends up being good.
DeleteI am curious and will probably read this :)
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear it Kim. :D

ReplyDeleteHappy Reading! <a href="http://paulettespapers.com/?p=11227”>Dani @ Paulette’s Papers</a>
Hopefully we both like it!
DeleteMy sister liked The Host, but I never read it. I do really love this premise, so if it's written well, I'd be curious to try it out.
ReplyDeleteI'm really hoping it will be, fingers crossed!
DeleteI'm interested in what you think of this one. I don't know if I will read it or not.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by My WoW earlier.
Thanks Sandra and hopefully reviews for it start rolling in soon.
DeleteI'm skeptical but curious. I also thought she was going to go back and do the next book in the Host series.
ReplyDeleteWeird that she didn't, makes me wonder why.
DeleteI am also curious about this one!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my WoW!
Glad I'm not the only one!
DeleteI can't wait to try this one! I really need her to write the sequel to The Host already though. LOL.
ReplyDeleteI know right? I wonder what happened to it?
DeleteI did enjoy the Host. I think that was such a good one. I'd be curious about this one as well.
ReplyDeleteLet's hope it is good and on track with the writing in the Host.
DeleteFirst I have heard of this book. I didn't read The Host but I thought the movie was good. I admit that I really liked her Twilight books. Not sure about this one, I will wait for reviews. Good choice!
ReplyDeleteI really want to see some reviews for it as well. ;)
DeleteWHAT?! Meyer is finally writing another book. I definitely plan to check it out. I really loved The Host and I've been so sad that it never got its promised sequel.
ReplyDeleteNicole @ Feed Your Fiction Addiction
I know, it's been forever and I think a lot of people were sad that the sequel never came out. Hopefully this will make up for it.
DeleteI was not a fan of the Host, but this looks like it could be promising! We'll see!
ReplyDeleteTori @ In Tori Lex
I wish there were some reviews for it already so we could all kind of see how others are liking it.
DeleteHope it's a good one for ya!
ReplyDeleteI really hope it will be as well.

ReplyDeleteKaren @For What It's Worth
Happy I could put it on your radar!
DeleteI honestly despise the Twilight franchise and I probably will never read the books EVER for obvious reasons.
ReplyDeleteI did love The Host movie though. :)
But I'll probably give Stephenie Meyer a go. I have to read at least one Stephenie Meyer book in my life.
Penelope
