THE EDGE OF ALWAYS
Camryn Bennett has never been happier. Five months after meeting on a Greyhound bus, she and her soul mate Andrew Parrish are engaged—and a wedding isn’t the only special event in their future. Nervous but excited, Camryn can’t wait to begin the rest of her life with Andrew – a man she knows in her heart will love her always. They have so much to look forward to—until tragedy blindsides them.
Andrew doesn’t understand how this could happen to them. He’s trying to move on, and thought Camryn was doing the same. But when Andrew discovers Camryn is secretly harboring a mountain of pain and attempting to numb it in damaging ways, there is nothing he won’t do to bring her back to life. Determined to prove that their love can survive anything, Andrew decides to take Camryn on a new journey filled with hope and passion. If only he can convince her to come along for the ride…
My Thoughts and Review:
I was so very excited when I learned that Andrew and Cam's story wasn't over yet, that Redmerski was going to give us more, after all, I fell in love with them at the beginning of their journey and I knew it was far from over.
Of course with every book book comes the worry that the sequel won't live up to it. That the characters and story you fell in love with in the first place will change and twist so much that they become something else entirely.
More than anything I was worried that Cam and Andrew's love for one another wouldn't be the same. That something would come along and tear them down and eat them up only to spit them out even more broken and horrible than anything else could have.
I really shouldn't have worried. I should have known that Redmerski loves them as much as I do.
Instead Redmerski brings them back to the beginning, where it all started. Where their love first began and grew into the beautiful story that was The Edge of Never. And can I say that she somehow made it even better, that she made them better. Their love, their characters, the strength they both had, their courage, their friendship, all of it.
I won't go into too much detail but this is a must read for any fan of the first book. This story truly did bring it all together and made the perfect ending for Cam and Andrew.

That's exactly what I fear with NA books in general and sequels in particular Ali! I'm so glad it's not something I need to worry about with this book. I've heard nothing but good things about this series, and I desperately want to meet Andrew and Cam! Fantastic review:)
I know what you mean Jenny, no worries on this one though. ;)
ReplyDeleteI've had the first book for ages. I SO need to read it!
ReplyDeleteYou do candace!
ReplyDeleteI know you loved the first book, and I ended up buying a copy based on your recommendation but haven't read it yet. I am happy to hear that the romance stays strong., my last two sequels, Fractured and Unbreakable the romance has faltered in the sequel and that is so disheartening!
ReplyDeleteI can't seem to force myself to read a NA these days, mostly because they tend to be angsty and repetitive and I generally avoind both at all costs. But I've seen so much praise for this series, I might just give it a chance.
ReplyDeleteThat did make me sad to see in Fractured Heidi. :(
ReplyDeleteMaja, this isn't without angst but it is worth it. ;)
Wonderful review. I just finished this last night and I really loved it also. I think one of the main things that impressed me the most was that no matter what they encounter their love and commitment to each other was really solid.
ReplyDeleteI'm still on the contemp kick, so these books sound really good to me right now. I'm going to totally binge and then get sick of them for years. lol.
ReplyDeleteThis is what I love about being introduced to new blogs! this book sounds great! Cannot wait to read them both!
ReplyDeleteI was so excited for their story to continue but also worried. So scared they would break apart but I am looking forward to them going back to the beginning and becoming even stronger. Very excited for this one!
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone for stopping by!! This really was a fabulous sequel that I think everyone will really love.
ReplyDeleteI keep hearing such praise for this sequel, it makes me even more excited about picking up the series, and confident it won't disappoint me, like so many other NA books. Great reivew1
