Goodreads Description:
Aria Rose, youngest scion of one of Mystic City's two ruling rival families, finds herself betrothed to Thomas Foster, the son of her parents' sworn enemies. The union of the two will end the generations-long political feud—and unite all those living in the Aeries, the privileged upper reaches of the city, against the banished mystics who dwell below in the Depths. But Aria doesn't remember falling in love with Thomas; in fact, she wakes one day with huge gaps in her memory. And she can't conceive why her parents would have agreed to unite with the Fosters in the first place. Only when Aria meets Hunter, a gorgeous rebel mystic from the Depths, does she start to have glimmers of recollection—and to understand that he holds the key to unlocking her past. The choices she makes can save or doom the city—including herself.

My Review:

Let me simply start by saying, the cover on this book is breathtaking and this is one time that you can completely judge a book by its cover.

I was sucked right into Aria's world. The prologue was so compelling that it left me eagerly turning the pages to get to the first chapter. I wanted to learn more about Aria and the mystery boy that had stolen her heart.

And while I can't go into any kind of detail about names, just know that this was a tale worthy of Romeo and Juliet. I absolutely loved the star cross lovers theme this whole story had going for it.

The details for Aria's life and world were so well done and crafted. Not everything was explained about her world but just enough that it left you with a good idea of what was going on and a beautofil description of what it looked like.

I am so torn, I want to tell you so much more but I really don't want to ruin the story for you. I hate spoilers!

But Aria is a great strong character, in fact this book is full of them. You will love all of the characters, some you will even love to hate and despise.

If you are looking for something different, something a little fantasy and a little dystopian with lots of romance (but not over the top or the whole focus of the story) you really need to pick this one up and read it.
