 Title: The Reluctant Bachelorette
Author: Rachel Anderson
Series: Stand Alone
Published By: HEA Publishing, LLC (Sept. 8, 2012)

Synopsis:
Unknowingly cast as the bachelorette for her town’s charity event, Taycee Emerson wants out. Especially when she discovers her old teenage crush, Luke Carney, is one of the bachelors and it's up to the viewers--not her--to decide which bachelors stay or go.

Coerced into participating, Taycee does what any self-preserving girl would do. She launches a subtle attack on Luke’s good name with the hope of getting him voted off the show. Unfortunately, Luke's an eye-for-an-eye kind of guy, and when he discovers what she's up to, it means revenge.

But when their pranks go south, will they screw up any chance they have at a future together, or will they be able to forgive and forget and prove that love really does conquer all?

Guest Post:
How The Reluctant Bachelorette Came  To Be

It all started with a friend telling me that I should check out an internet, Mormon version of The Bachelor. Out of curiosity, I did, and was intrigued by how popular it had become, even with the low budget filming job. That's when the idea first sparked and I thought about writing a book based around an internet reality dating show. But I wanted it to be different. I wanted it to be set in a small town (because I have always been a sucker for small towns). I wanted there to be a purpose for the show beyond the whole "love connection" thing. I wanted the main character, Taycee, to be anti-reality shows. And I wanted her relationship with Luke to develop off-camera, where it could be real, private, and incredibly romantic.

From there, I started brainstorming and running ideas past people--mainly my sisters. I'm so very lucky enough to have six of them who are all blessed with creative minds. So I corner them. Or trick them. Or bribe them to help. When all else fails, I say, "Hey, let's take our kids swimming." And as we're hanging by the pool and watching our kids, I start talking, while they--having no where else to go--are forced to listen.

And wallah, a brainstorming session that is sure to produce really fun ideas.

The Reluctant Bachelorette is a result of one of these sessions, and I sincerely hope that people have as much fun reading it as we did creating it.

My Thoughts and Review:

I really enjoyed reading this sweet romance. Being a fan of the show The Bachelorette and its brother show The Bachelor I got a kick out of this new take on the show, how it works and getting a real (so to speak) view of what the bachelorette must feel going on so many dates with so many men in a short amount of time.

I mean really what woman wouldn't want 20, or in this case, 21 handsome eligible men all vying for her attention? Taycee, that's who!

This quite possibly might be her worst nightmare brought to life.

I have to say, I really liked Taycee. She was a loveable character that would do just about anything for the town she loves and lives in as well as the friends she cares about. She is smart and headstrong, has a sense of humor and loves life.

Jessa was pretty great too. I really liked her and Taycee together, I do wish we would have saw just a little bit more of her though. I really liked her sense of humor and no nonsense way.

Luke was great too even if he was pretty clueless in the beginning so much so that I wanted to give him a good smack upside the head. He had his incredibly sweet and thoughtful moments and later some pretty romantic ones as well. I liked that he pushed her in a way that she needed to be pushed, both in her love life and her business life.

Overall this was a great sweet clean romance that I would recommend to anyone. It was well written with likeable characters, a fun small town setting and a nice weekend read.

I give this 4 Stars!
