Blog Tour Review: Sweet Temptation by Wendy Higgins

I am so excited to be a part of this wonderful blog tour because not only is Higgins one of my favorite YA authors but this series is just so amazing and the fact that we got this extra bonus book in Kai's POV, is just unbelievable! So without further ago, I bring you, Sweet Temptation.

Release Date: September 8, 2015 by HarperTeen

Series: Book Four in the Sweet Trilogy

ARC Copy Provided by the Publisher (thank you!!) in exchange for an honest review

Book Description:
Bad boy Kaidan Rowe has never wanted for anything—money, popularity, musical talent…hot girls—but seducing them is part of his duty as a Nephilim, slave to the demon Dukes. As the son of the Duke of Lust, Kaidan has learned his father’s ways, becoming a master of passion, a manipulator of chemistry. Disobeying his father would mean certain death. Thankfully for Kaidan, he’s good at his job. And he enjoys it.

Until he meets Anna Whitt—sweet, smart, feisty, and inexplicably good—the one girl seemingly immune to his charms. The daughter of a guardian angel and a fallen one, she has a certain power over him, one that makes him wish for more than he could ever deserve.

Determined to save all the Neph from their dark lives as the influencers of sin, Anna joins forces with Kaidan to overcome the demons’ oppressive ways. In the light of her affections, Kaidan must undergo his toughest test of all, a battle of the heart.

Sensual and swoon worthy, this companion volume to the acclaimed Sweet Evil series from New York Times bestselling author Wendy Higgins, told from the perspective of the irresistibly sexy and mysterious Kaidan Rowe, gives readers revealing insights into his struggle, his intense connection to Anna, and most of all, the true emotions that drive him.

About the Author:

After earning a Creative Writing degree from George Mason University and a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from Radford, I taught high school English until becoming a mommy. I've always had a heart for teens, and writing YA stories gives me the opportunity to delve into the ambiguities of those pivotal years before adulthood.
I live in Virginia with my husband, daughter, son and doggie Rue.

Anyone who has read the Sweet Evil series knows just how much this latest installment, all done in the fabulous Kai's point of view, means to Higgins' fans. The very fact that she gave us this, is beyond amazing.

That she would listen to her fans and come through with something that worked both as a companion novel to the series and still have completely new material, is just beyond incredible.

And let me tell you, fans of this series, heck, fans of Kaidan, do NOT want to miss out on this. It truly was phenomenal and I soaked up every single chapter of this 483 pages of goodness.

So well done and so swoon worthy with just the right amount of ramped up steam and swoon worthy moments, it truly was fun getting down and dirty with Kai!

    1. It isn't quite the same story since it goes into a lot of detail of when he wasn't with Anna. ;) I think you'll love it.

  6. I'm not usually a fan of books retold in the POV of another character, but I'm glad that this lived up to every expectations of yours, Ali. :) It sounds like she gave fans what they deserved with the book!

  12. I know Jenny loves this series but I haven't had much interest in picking it up. I'm thrilled to know that the author did something new and refreshing with Kai's POV rather than rehashing the same events over again.

  15. Hmmm.... I liked the series, but I was tired of it when it ended. I am not usually the biggest fan of the same story told via another POV, but you have me thinking I should reconsider.
