If there is one thing Nora Roberts does liek no other besides her swoony worthy romances, it is her paranormal romances and her latest PNR trilogy, The Guardians is not an exception.
I am so excited to be a part of this tour because this series, truly has quickly become a favorite and I can't wait to tell you more about her second book in it, Bay of Sighs.

Book Two in the Guardians Trilogy
Book Description:
The new Guardians Trilogy novel from the #1 New York Times bestselling author of Stars of Fortune.
To celebrate the rise of their new queen, three goddesses of the moon created three stars, one of fire, one of ice, one of water. But then they fell from the sky, putting the fate of all worlds in danger. And now three women and three men join forces to pick up the pieces…
Mermaid Annika is from the sea, and it is there she must return after her quest to find the stars. New to this world, her purity and beauty are nothing less than breathtaking, along with her graceful athleticism, as her five new friends discovered when they retrieved the fire star.
Now, through space and time, traveler Sawyer King has brought the guardians to the island of Capri, where the water star is hidden. And as he watches Annika in her element, he finds himself drawn to her joyful spirit. But Sawyer knows that if he allows her into his heart, no compass could ever guide him back to solid ground...
And in the darkness, their enemy broods. She lost one star to the guardians, but there is still time for blood to be spilled—the mermaid’s in the water and the traveler’s on the land. For she has forged a dangerous new weapon. Something deadly and unpredictable. Something human.
About the Author:
Nora Roberts was born in Silver Spring, Maryland. She began writing when a blizzard in February 1979 kept her in her hilltop home with a three and six year old for nearly a week of canceled kindergarten and dwindling chocolate supplies.
During the now-famous blizzard, she pulled out a pencil and notebook and began to write a story for her own entertainment. From the first page, she knew it was what she was meant to do. Several manuscripts and rejections later, Irish Thoroughbred was published by Silhouette in 1981.
The Liar, published in April 2015 by Putnam, is her 214th book. She hit the NY Times Bestseller list in 1991. Every book since 1999 has made that list.
Recently The New Yorker called her “America’s favorite novelist."
In 1995, she began writing a police procedural series featuring Eve Dallas, a NY homicide cop, and set in the near future under the J.D. Robb pseudonym. Devoted in Death, out in September 2015, is the 41st entry in the series.
Nora Roberts, hands down, knows how to write a paranormal romance series like nobody else.
They are always enthralling, fascinating, completely addicting, and ones you never want to end. Her newest and latest is not an exception.
I wasn't sure how I was going to like this installment, knowing that it would be mostly told from Annika's point of view. Not because I didn't like her, quite the contrary but because of what she was and how that point of view might be because of it. She is super innocent, super sweet and because of it, still naive and learning the world around her. Not your typical heroine in a story filled with darkness and good versus evil.
I was so wrong to be nervous about it. Annika is in fact a strong heroine. One that took me by surprise the more we got to know her and live inside her head the harder is was not to love her. She is one feisty lady that goes after what she wants like a bloodhound and what the girl wants is to keep her friends safe, to find the stars and of course, Sawyer. Poor man, he didn't stand a chance against her and her wily ways.
If there is one thing Nora does right besides the paranormal, is her romances. Always slow to build, burn, and heat up,and ones, once you have opened them and gotten a taste of it, you don't ever want to escape them. Swoon worthy, romantic, and always done right, this story had it all.
I truly was both sad and mad that book three wasn't out yet and I would once again have to wait to see how it all comes together and to get inside the next couples head.
Another hit PNR series from Roberts and one that has already wormed its way into my heart.

I love it when a character surprises me in a good way and it definitely sounds like Annika is that kind of character. I haven't read a Nora Roberts book in so long. I think I'm going to give this series a try.
ReplyDeleteLovely review!
You should Nick, her PNRs really are fabulous.
DeleteGreat review Ali, thanks this trilogy is on my wish list!
ReplyDeleteThe last book will be out soon so it's even better that you won't have to wait for them all. ;)
DeleteIt's been a while since I read a book by Roberts. I still need to finish one of her other trilogies. Great review!
ReplyDeleteThanks Lekeisha!
DeleteAh! I need to read more Nora Roberts Ali! I've only read the JD Robb/In Death books, so I feel like I'm missing out (though I love those so much!). PNR is one of my favorite genres, so I'm adding this to my list for sure:)
ReplyDeleteHer In Death is definitely a favorite of mine as well Jenny. ;)
DeleteNora Roberts never ceases to amaze me. I hope to one day write like that woman can, with dedication, discipline, and passion. She's outstanding.
ReplyDeleteShe is and the amount of books she can put out in a year is mind blowing!
DeleteI'm in. I've loved her writing for years and that will never change. :-)
ReplyDeleteAnna from elements of emaginette
She really is a talented writer. ;)
DeleteOh I might have to add this trilogy to my list. I still have yet to read anything by Nora Roberts! Great review!
ReplyDeleteAll her books are good but the PNRs are truly my favorite.
DeleteI haven't read a Nora Roberts book yet and haven't been interested to until seeing your review. This sounds great and I didn't even realize she wrote paranormal. I'm definitely planning to pick up the first in the series now. Great review! :)
ReplyDeleteYes, her paranormals are what I first picked up from her and are still my favorites. All though her In Death series under her pen name J.D. Robb are amazing as well.
DeleteI haven't read many of Nora's books. This series sounds really good!
ReplyDeleteYou would really like these ones I think Erin, especially since you loved the Fever Series so much. ;)
DeleteI love Nora to bits, but I'm really a much bigger fan of her romantic suspense. I read the first book in this trilogy and it was okay, so I might even continue.
ReplyDeleteI have yet to try one of those from her, I really should. Any recommendations?
DeleteWonderful review. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by and checking it out. :D
DeleteThanks for sharing this review. I loved reading this and being introduced to this book.
ReplyDeleteOf course, thanks for stopping by and checking it out!
DeleteI didn't know she had a mermaid series until this book came into the store. Now I need the first and will be watching for it to show up. I have one of her other newer paranormal series (witches?) I want to read soon too.
ReplyDeleteNot really a mermaid book per se. ;)
DeleteOMG. Is this a new series? Something I don't have to catch up on?! Sign me up!
ReplyDeleteYep, just a trilogy so easy peasy. ;)
DeleteIt's been a while since I haven't read a book by the author but I used to really enjoy them and I should go back to them!
ReplyDeleteGlad you are already a fan of her work. ;)
DeleteI just read(listened) The Obsession by her this past weekend and loved it. I wasn't ready to get into this trilogy, but the more I read reviews, the more I wonder that maybe I should. I may be requesting them from my library. Great review Ali, and I am glad you are loving this series!
ReplyDeleteI've heard a lot about that one as well and thought about trying it, good to know it's a good one. ;)
DeleteLOL, poor Sawyer indeed! Great review Ali :) so glad you loved this one :)
ReplyDeleteYeah, he was pretty funny. I can't wait for the last couple, they always seem to be my favorite in her trilogies.
DeleteGreat review, glad you loved this one! I have been thinking of starting this series and now I need to!!
ReplyDeleteOh definitely do, it has been a lot of fun so far.

Delete5 stars. Oooh I gotta check this out!
ReplyDeleteIt's really good!
DeleteI know that 5 star ratings, aren't just thrown out there lightly. I will definitely check it out!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Tori and I hope you like it a well!
DeleteI may just have to try her out again and see. These do sound good. I'm a huge fan of her Robb books but so far haven't had luck with the Roberts ones which totally bums me out. You're tempting me though!
ReplyDeleteI love her In Death series too. I think you would like these, the PNR aspect is a nice tough and doesn't make it all about the romance.
Deleteoh this one sounds simply fabulous!!! I haven't read her PNR yet, but your review has me itching to pick them up. Lovely review here.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much!
DeleteAh yes, yet more Nora Roberts books I need to read!
ReplyDeleteHer PNRs are always a must for me.
