I am so excited to have Cambria Hebert here today and to be participating in the Charade (Heven and Hell Series) Blog Tour.
This is such an amazing series and I am even more excited to be able to host a guest post from Cambria about auras!
Cambria:
Aura
color and meanings Heven and Hell series
Hey
Everyone!
I
am thrilled to be here today as part of the Heven and Hell Tour for
the release of the newest book in the series, Charade! Today we are
going to talk aura’s. Aura’s play a part in the Heven and Hell
series and if you have read the series then you know what I mean. If
you haven’t, well, read the series! LOL. So let’s move onto the
post!
Aura’s
have always intrigued me. I think that if I could have a supernatural
power I would choose this. Maybe that’s why I gave that “power”
to Heven. I mean how cool would it be to know what someone was
feeling when they were around you. When you spoke to them you would
know if they were being truthful. If you just met them you would know
if they were a genuine person – a good person. You would also know
if they were bad news. Talk about cutting down on time!
I
do think that we all have an aura and I wonder why they are
invisible. Of course it would be very distracting to see all those
colors all the time. I think it would be overwhelming at times as
well. I like to think though that I would grow accustomed to seeing
them just as Heven does in the Heven and Hell Series.
I
think that the meanings of the aura colors is very subjective and
would vary depending on who you are talking to. When I began
researching aura’s I found all my information on the web. I don’t
remember the site (I did this research about 2 years ago) but I have
a whole page full of notes. So remember that I am NO expert. And as a
writer I have take some liberties with the colors in my series.
However,
I do think this is a pretty representation of what aura colors would
mean if you could in fact see them.
Below
are the ‘clean’ colors that are found in an aura. They are colors
of the rainbow and are bright and shiny.
Blue-
Balanced, sustaining life, laid back
~People
with strong points of blue in their aura are relaxed and born
survivors, they have relaxed nerve systems.
Turquoise-
dynamic quality of being, highly energized, capable of influencing
other people, good organizers, multi-taskers and bored when only
doing one thing.
Green-
restful, natural healing ability
~People
with strong points of green are natural healers
Yellow-
Joy, freedom, attached to nothing, very generous
~People
with yellow in their aura are highly spiritual. It is also a
signature of a spiritual teacher.
Orange-
Uplifting
and absorbing, inspiring and a sign of power. Ability or desire to
control people. When orange and yellow combine is signals a very
powerful spiritual teacher.
Red-
materialistic
thoughts, jealousy, envy
Pink-
love. Pink is only a temporary “cloud” it is never permanent.
*Magenta
(a mix of pink and purple) – This is Cole’s aura, the only aura
Heven has ever seen like this and does not know what it means. (yet)
Below
are the ‘dirty’ colors found in aura’s – they are usually
negative
Brown-
unsettling,
distracting, negating spirituality
Gray-
dark
thoughts, depressed, presence of a dark side
Sulfur
(Which is a mustard color – Heven see’s this color in the book
and refers to is as mustard) – Pain
and anger
White-
Serious
disease, artificial stimulation (suggesting drug use);
White is
like noise rather than a set of harmonious tones. Hours before a
person dies (like of a disease) and aura becomes increasingly white
in color and intensity.
*~White
is also the color of a demon’s aura in the Heven and Hell Series.
In Heven’s mind a white aura is the worst color it can be.
*Black
(In the Heven and Hell Series)- The
aura of a bad witch. It signifies the presence of dark magic within
them.
*Note-
in the Heven and Hell Series, Heven, can only see the aura’s of
people. She cannot see the aura of animals. She thinks this is why
she cannot see Sam’s aura or other’s like him.
Here
is a photo of what it would be like to see aura’s on other people.
This is what Heven see’s around people every day:
Pretty
cool huh?
Would
you like to see other people’s auras??
Okay, that was seriously cool to read about and I have to admit, I would love that super power too! I mean how cool would it be to know when people liked you? Or to know when they were nervous or lying to you? It would actually be like a couple of super powers all rolled into one.
And if that post wasn't great enough on its own, Cambria has also agreed to let me have a giveaway for her new book Charade, the second book in the Heven and Hell series (ebook) and a set of signed bookmarks!!!
I had the opportunity to read this book and let me tell you, it is amazing! Even better than the first one (who would have thought that would be possible?).
In fact, here is my review:
Synopsis:
Dying at the hands of a
psycho was a shock. Having my life returned to me by an angel was
incredible. Being named a Supernatural Treasure and being given Sam as
my guard was pretty darn awesome. Acquiring a debt for it all—well, I
should have seen it coming.
Now here we are, fighting demons from Hell, caring for a boy that I just don’t trust, and traveling to faraway places to return a treasure to its rightful place. Nothing is as it seems. Everyone wears a mask; everyone puts on a charade. It’s up to us to separate the truth from the lies and reality from fiction. A hard task when my new reality involves fallen angels, witches and dragons… and did I mention Hell?
Anchoring me down through it all is Sam. Sam, who must face tragedies of his own and is put to the test again and again.
If we fail in our task, life as we know it—life as you know it—will end. Forever.

Review:
I just adore this series. I do. The
characters, the drama, mystery, plot, suspense, the romance, the
danger, gah, all of it!
I would like to just say that this is a
serious that you have to try but I can't because, that just isn't
enough. You need to know the greatest that is Cambria's writing.
Truly though, Cambria has created an
amazing world with characters that feel real and are people that you
grow to care about and love after the first few pages. Characters
that you want to be friends with and know and just hang out with.
Okay well, maybe not hang out with when say demons are attacking them
or they have to make that unexpected trip through Hell but yeah, any
other, non dangerous time, and I would be there.
Her writing just keeps getting better
and better with each new book or novella in the series and it truly
does blow me away how utterly addicting this series has become. I
can't get enough of it and when I am finished with each new book, I
am just left wanting more.
More of the action, more of the drama
and much much more of the sweet romance between Heven and Sam.
I think I love Sam more and more with
each new installment too. He is completely loyal and sweet and those
that are lucky enough to be loved by him, are loved fiercely.
He is someone I would want in my corner
in any situation. I might even have a little bit of a book crush on
him.
I love that Heven is getting stronger
and stronger as the series goes. She is really coming into her own
and isn't one to sit back and let others do the fighting for her. She
is becoming fierce and even a little kick butt and I am loving it!
Cole, ah Cole. I think I fell in love
with him a little more in this one too. He too is loyal and loving
and just a really good guy. I really liked where Cambria took his and
Heven's relationship. It was a nice little fun twist to the story.
I am in suspense with the way Charade
ended and am on the edge of my seat wondering what is going
to happen next.
I can only hope that Cambria writes
quickly because I want more!!
I give this one a very solid 5 Stars!
