Review: Perfect Lies by Kiersten White

Title: Perfect Lies
Author: Kiersten White
Series: Book Two in the Mind Games Duology
Published By: HarperTeen (January 30, 2014)

Genre: YA Fantasy
My Rating: 5 Stars!

Book Description:
Annie and Fia are ready to fight back.

The sisters have been manipulated and controlled by the Keane Foundation for years, trapped in a never ending battle for survival. Now they have found allies who can help them truly escape. After faking her own death, Annie has joined a group that is plotting to destroy the Foundation. And Fia is working with James Keane to bring his father down from the inside.

But Annie's visions of the future can't show her who to trust in the present. And though James is Fia's first love, Fia knows he's hiding something. The sisters can rely only on each other - but that may not be enough to save them.

I can't even begin to tell you how much I loved the first book in this dulology, seriously, it just rocked, Fia, rocked. She was kick butt, snarky, a little bit crazy, loyal and just everything I love in a good heroine. Heck, she was everything I would love to be!

This series blew me away.

Kiersten White, blew me away.

This is just one of those books that you need to pick up and experience for yourself because really, there aren't word to tell you how much you will love it, how much it will captivate you, draw you in and leave you thinking about it long after it has ended.

It leaves you never really knowing what Fia was capable of doing, what was really going to happen and even really who could be trusted. You can't help but eagerly turn the pages wanting more.

The world was imaginative, original and will completely capture your attention after the very first chapter.

All I have left to say is this, you don't want to miss out on this, it is a must read and because of this duology, I will read anything the author writes in the future.

  1. I think you and I are the only ones who really love these books. I started this not knowing it was a duology, so I was understandably crushed when I reached the ending. The writing, I thought, was particularly good, especially Fia's messy POV.
I'm glad you loved this, perhaps even more than I did.
    Great review. :)

    1. I think what I loved most about this was how unpredictable Fia was, she was all over the place but in a good crazy smart kind of way.

  7. It's been a hot minute since reading Mind Games, but I remember enjoying it. A lot. I have this in my Kindle & I am beginning to think I have to re read or at least skim MG 1 to refresh my memory.
Your review made me more excited to get to task.
I am not getting any new books to review until I make a SERIOUS dent in the ones I have (my personal goal for 2014) so it shouldnt be long!
Hopefully..Now, the not getting any new books thing..Well, that may be a bit harder than I originally though. Maybe I can add some "caveats" to the "clause". lolz!
