The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kim at The Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It is a chance to share blog news and happenings as well as share those releases we received during the week.
Another week has gone by and we are getting closer and closer to summer and honestly, I can not wait. No more school for three glorious months, no homework or bedtimes (okay sort of bedtimes), the days are warmer, the nights longer....I just love this time of year.
I don't know about you but my girls are seriously burnt out on school by the time May rolls around. They are just ready for it to be over and it has been torture getting in all the homework, book reports and assignments they have been assigning to the kids. It feels like the teachers try to cram in three months worth of stuff in the last four weeks of school. I am so over it and looking forward to more reading time.
In case you missed anything, this is what I featured on my blog this past week:
Cover Reveal and Giveaway: Forever Kinda Love by Clara Stone
Review: Allegiance by Susannah Sandlin
Guest Post: Pressed Pennies by Steven Manchester
Review: Biggest Flirts by Jennifer Echols
Review: Twelfth Night by Deanna Raybourn

As always a huge thank you to all the authors and publishers for the amazing books. I am so excited about all of them and can't wait to dive in!!
Here is what I received this week:
I can't wait to read your review of Push, I hope you liked it as much as I did. I have so much love for Miki and her friends.
ReplyDeleteHAve a great week!
Yay another fan? This is a totally underrated series, I love Miki!
DeleteI am so excited for Summer also...I am not looking forward to the heat, because AZ is horribly hot. This is probably the first summer I am not super excited for because my oldest graduates from HS, and that means she's moving on. I am looking forward to no alarm clocks, and no routine for a while. Although I am a routine nazi, so that is even hard for me, but it's nice to not "have" to do anything or be anywhere :)
ReplyDeleteThat would be a tough one Becca, I hope all goes well. I am sure she is super excited for it.
DeleteOh they're all new to me but I hope you'll like them all. Happy reading, can't wait to read your thoughts!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteGreat books, I can't wait to read your reviews! Fortunately more reading time will come soon, have fun! I love reading a book on a warm summer day, just being lazy and lounging.
ReplyDeleteMe too, it is the best!
DeleteHaha, yeah, May used to be my bleh-time of the year too. It was the effect of all that sun shining through classroom windows, and brids chirping, and me wanting to be out there enjoying it all instead of in class. And I'd think it's almost summer, which meant vacation, that I really, really want by that time of the year cause I so fed up with the school year bu then, lol... also applied with homework and everything, lol. May is tough when you're in school. Which always made me wonder why teachers felt the need to stress us out with more stuff than ever, I mean I used to wonder, don't they feel the same as we do? Lol.
ReplyDeleteGhost House looks very promising, right? Great grabs!
Thanks Livia!
DeleteOoh, it looks like you picked up some great titles! I haven't heard of all of them, though I'm curious to see what you think. Enjoy your haul!
ReplyDeleteThanks!!
DeleteCongrats on all your books!! Enjoy :)
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteWe have a couple more weeks of school left here too. I'm both happy and sad for the school year to be over for my son. I was contemplating Six Feet Over It ... I'll let you read it first. ;)
ReplyDeleteLOL thank s a lot! :P
DeleteI'm curious to see what you thought of The Lost. It sounds really good. And I was so ready for school to end this semester as well...it gets to be too much by the end.
ReplyDeleteGlad I am not the only one that is sick of school!
DeleteThe Lost was good, different but I really liked it.
Can't wait to read your reviews this week, especially Push :)
ReplyDeleteIt was really good and I can't wait for book three.
DeleteI can't wait to see what you thought of Biggest Flirts. I am off to check that out now. (I've been without internet this week. Eeep!)
ReplyDeleteHappy Reading!
My Weekly Wrap up Post
Michelle @ Book Briefs
Thanks and you too!
DeleteIt can be harder when they are younger, I agree Heidi. But I do love summer and I love being able to stay up late (when the girls are already in bed) and reading late into the night (or morning in some cases) and not have to worry about being up by a certain time. ;)
ReplyDeleteOh...I have Suddenly Last Summer and The Promise. Those are going to both be great books to enjoy this summer. You are close to being able to mark one more week of school off the calendar. I know you and your kids are counting down the days.
ReplyDeleteI am really hoping they are!
DeleteI am also super excited for summer. It's about time that it's here! Haha. I'm not excited for the hot that comes with it, but the break is nice. It looks like you have a great haul of books. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteYeah I never love the too hot weather but I do love the break so it makes up for it. ;)
