The Sunday Post

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
~this meme was inspired in part by ~ In My Mailbox~
It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

I know what you are thinking, where have I been on Sundays right?
Okay maybe you aren't thinking that but I have been thinking about it but the very sad fact is, I have been either super busy over the weekend or so exhausted from the week before, I just haven't felt like putting a Sunday post together. I know, I know, I suck.

So this week I thought I would do something different.

Since I have met all of my reading goals for the year (yay!) and have all my ARCs read (and reviewed soon) I thought this month it would be fun instead to concentrate on all those books in my TBR pile I want to get read before the year is over, especially those series that I started long ago and really need my attention.

I am hoping that by putting the list here, in a not so official list, I will actually get some of them read. Here is to hoping that that is the case and if not..oh well, at least I tried right?

So here is my official, unofficial list of books I would really like to get read in the remaining weeks of this year:

I absolutely adore this series but as you can see, I am a little behind on it. I so want to get caught up and finally get to all those series I have loved but been putting off due to other commitments and the really good news is, I only have two books to read before I am there!

The last thing I need is to be starting yet another new series but this just looks so good and comes highly recommended by more than one blogging friend so I don't want to resist reading it anymore. I am hoping it lives up to my expectations.

I loved the first book so it is about time I read the second. I am hoping I love it every bit as much as the first and even though this isn't exactly the right time of year to be reading a good ghost story, I have never been able to resist them so look out ghosts, here I come!

This is just one of those books I have had in my TBR pile for way too long and I think it is about time to read it, plus, I am always up for a good romance and isn't that cover cute?

While I liked book one I wasn't wowed by it so I am really hoping book two will give me that wow factor I have been looking for in Esptep's UF series. I just loved her YA Mythos Academy series so I have high hopes I am going to really love this one as well.

And....that's it. I am trying not to overload myself with too many books since I know I will be pretty busy in the next few weeks with last minute Christmas shopping and tons of family and friend's parties to attend so I am keeping my fingers crossed I can get through most of these if not all of them before 2014 is over. Yikes, I can't believe I just even typed that! How can the year almost be over already?

So next week, I will update with my progress (hopefully) and maybe even talk about those 2015 books that I can't wait for. ;)

I hope you all have an amazing rest of the weekend and week!!

  1. First, congratulations on all your reading challenges! It's such a great feeling, like you've actually accomplished something. Lol. Also, this is such a great idea. I've been doing the same thing as well. :D Anyway, I hope you'll enjoy your picks this week.

  3. YAY for reaching your reading goals and finding time for some pleasure reads! Often UF series don't wow me with the first books but as I read on I start to love them. I hope that's the case with Elemental Assassin for you. I'm listening to one right now and it's like book 5, I think. It's really picking up with things and some major changes are happening.

  8. I need to take a cue from you and do the same thing with my TBR pile! It's going to be hard with the holidays (even with time off, it seems like I'm busier than normal), but I want to catch up on reads that I've been waiting to get to. Good luck with your list!
