The Sunday Post

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
~this meme was inspired in part by ~ In My Mailbox~
It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

Summer really is flying by way too darn fast. Can you believe there is only about a month left before school starts back up again? I know we have already been busy here trying to soak up as much sun and fun as possible as well as sneak in some shopping for school stuff here and there.

I still haven't even come close to reading as many books as I wanted to or even start those in my TBR pile that I was hoping I would get read this summer but that is okay. I am trying my best not to think or stress out about it. Spending time with family and friends is far more important right?

We got a much needed reprieve from the hot weather this week and it was wonderful! I am not look forward to the heat that I know will be awaiting me come tomorrow morning. As we approach August it only promises to get hotter. Maybe I can stay indoors and get some reading done after all?

I hope everyone has been staying cool and having a nice summer. I think I am finally over my reading slump that seemed to haunt me much of June and July. I am keeping my fingers crossed that I am finally out of it and can move on and start enjoying all those reads that are just waiting for me to try.

It was a quieter week again on the blog this past week and it was nice. Here is what I posted in case you missed anything.

  1. God, I hate the heat, lol. I've had a way cooler summer than the previous ones, it's been raining a lot, but still there's too much heat for my taste, lol. I wish I lived in the mountains, lol, where even when it's sunny and warm it doesn't get blistering hot... sigh.

Wow, impressive list of reviews coming up! You rock! :D

    1. Thanks Livia! We do have mountains nearby so at least we can escape if needed to a cooler area. ;)

  2. Can't wait to see what you think of Killing Sarai! I remember Amir and Ella @ Not-So-Literary Reviews loving it a whole lot! I think I prefer the heat to the endless rain we get here :( June-July pretty much signifies typhoon season, and we had almost 10 so far since June started! Next year, the curriculum here is moving the schoolyear from June to August to align with the rest of the world, so that means our summer next year will preetty much consist of typhoons everywhere. HUHUHU.

  3. Yeah, summer is flying by this year! My reading has been hit or miss over here too, but I agree with you-it's more important to focus on kids right now when they're out of school :)

  7. It was hot and humid here all week, but I refuse to complain, i have a deal going with Mother Nature where I will accept whatever she dishes up as long as September 27th is beautiful! The summer is racing by, while I have no kiddies in school, they start back here the 13th of August!

School starts the 14th here and it'll be the last year of HS for mine. :(
