All I Want Blog Tour, Guest Post and Book Review!

ALL I WANT

THREE STORIES. THREE COUPLES. ONE HOLIDAY.

Pretty Near Perfect

by Jolene Perry

The last thing Norah needs is to be attracted to anyone – especially in her deceased fiancĂ©'s parents' home. Collin’s starting a new career, and has no business getting involved – especially while staying with his roommate’s family, who very kindly offered to take him in for the holidays. Unfortunately, you just don’t always pick the most convenient time and place to fall for someone.

Six Days of Christmas
by Kaylee Baldwin

When Natalie goes home with her best friend for Christmas, she expects plenty of quiet time to work on a winning ad so she can turn her dream internship into her dream job. Instead, she gets time-consuming Christmas festivities, a house full of children, and Jimmy, her best friend’s brother - someone who makes her question everything she’s always thought she wanted.

Twist of Fate
by Rachael Anderson

When a postcard meant for Kenzie winds up in Ty's mailbox, Ty's faced with a decision. Should he tell her that her fiancĂ© is breaking up with her and let it ruin her favorite holiday, or should he do what he’s wanted to do since he met her - make a move and hope that he can win her over before she discovers there won’t be a wedding after all.

Author Jolene Perry

Jolene Perry is an enigmatic figure. She is most often seen behind her laptop, staring at the words flying onto the screen with reckless abandon.

She survived growing up in rural Alaska, driving like a lunatic, and her husband’s careers in the military, as a perpetual student, and an Alaska State Prosecutor. She also survived as a middle school math teacher using her degree of Political Science and French.

One day Jolene was playing her guitar (probably some-thing juvenile for her kids) when she wondered what it would be like to write a song for a rockstar, and her first book was born. (that book is shelved)

She now lives a very glamorous life as a stay at home mom, elbow deep in dirty dishes and peanut butter sandwiches. She doesn’t even attempt to keep up with the laundry because non-writing time is precious, and her family is sorta awesome.

Author Rachael Anderson

Rachael Anderson is the author of four contemporary romances: Divinely Designed, Luck of the Draw, Minor Adjustments, and The Reluctant Bachelorette. She's the mother of four, can't sing, doesn't dance, and despises tragedies. But she recently figured out how yeast works and can now make homemade bread, which she is really good at eating.

My Thoughts and Review:

This book is actually an anthology of three different stories by three different authors. I have read two of the author's other books and loved them both so I was pretty sure that I would really enjoy all of the stories.

The first story in the book, Pretty Near Perfect by Jolene Perry was the one I was looking forward to the most. Jolene is one of my favorite authors. I have enjoyed all of her books (I haven't read them all yet but I have read a good chunk of them) and when I knew she was going to have a short story in this one, it was the real reason why I wanted to be a part of the blog tour. I knew I had to read it.

I loved Norah and Collin's story. It was such a sweet story about second chances at love and letting go and moving on. I really enjoyed it. Once again Jolene manages to create a heartfelt read perfect for the holidays.

Kaylee Baldwin was the one author who I wasn't familiar with their work and her story Six Days of Christmas blew me away. I absolutely loved it.

I love the type of story it was, in fact the type where long term friendship turns into something more are always my favorite. I just adore them and Jimmy and Natty where fabulous characters. I will definitely be looking up her other work and buying it.

Twist of Fate by Rachel Anderson was also a really great read. I really loved Ty and Kenzie. Again, this is one of those stories about friendship turning into so much more and I just can't get enough of those types of reads. I just eat them up, especially around this time of year. Maybe it has something to do with my husband also being my best friend, I don't know but either way every single story in this book was fabulous.

In fact every time I thought I had a favorite story I would read another one and then that one would have me thinking it was my favorite. All of three of these were equally great.

I always love reading stories that have to do with love, forgiveness and just good holiday cheer around this time of year. There is just something so comforting and lovely about grabbing a good (clean) book, snuggling in front of the fireplace and reading something I know will put a smile on my face, maybe some tears in my eyes and leave me with a warm fuzzy feeling in my heart long after I have put the book down.

I love that this was one of those reads.

I give this one a very solid 4 Stars all the way around!

Guest Post with Rachel Anderson:
 Plotting With Sisters

I'm lucky enough to have six sisters. This past August, after I initially came up with the idea for this Christmas novella, I ran it by four of those sisters while hanging out at a pool one day. That had to be one of my favorite experiences plotting a book. We had so much fun talking about the "mom" character and the crazy things she might do or say. We laughed, shared story after story of similar personalities, and laughed some more. Two hours later, I came away with some really fun ideas for my fun Christmas novella. Every writer needs that kind of support system.

  4. I might have to grab this for my holiday read. I don't usually love novellas but during the holidays things get hectic and I don't have a lot of time to read. Reading some shorter stories might be good. And they sound so cute and sweet. Yeah, I think I will grab this one!

  7. Honestly, I don't usually read holiday theme books. I don't know why, I just don't. But all three of these sound really sweet. Plus, they are short reads, which is a good thing.
