Book Description:
Baya Brighton is looking forward to her first year at Whitney Briggs University, new friends, dorm life, and finally being close to her brother again. Love is the last thing on the list, but when Baya meets her brother’s roommate she begins to have thoughts and feelings that make even her blush.

Bryson Edwards has a secret he prefers buried in the past and long forgotten. He prefers loose girls, fast cars, and long nights working at the string of bars his family owns. When his roommate’s sister shows up on the scene, she’s far too innocent and sweet for him but he can’t shake Baya out of his mind and worse, it looks like she’s seeping into his heart as well.

Baya seems determined to show her brother she’s not a little kid and equally determined to use Bryson’s body to prove her point. It’s been made pretty clear that Baya is off limits to Bryson but their undeniable sparks explode into a whole lot more than just a few 3:AM KISSES.

My Thoughts and Review:
I am so glad that some of my favorite YA authors have taken the plunge into the world of New Adult.
Not only because I am already familiar with their work in the young adult department but because I fell in love with it and was ready to see them venture out into something else I knew I would love just as much. Addison Moore just so happens to be one of those authors.

And let me tell you, she went into the NA genre with a huge bang.

I have a thing for the bad boys, I honestly wish I could state exactly why but sadly, I can't. Maybe it is the allure of being that one person in the whole world who could make someone want to be better. Or the idea of turning someone inside out by simply being near them, either way, there you have it. I have a thing for the gorgeous cocky bad boys that really have hearts of gold. They are my weak spot and the one character in books I can say with confidence I will never get tired of reading about.

Enter Bryson. The ultimate bad boy full of cockiness, notches in his bed post (okay wall) and full of witty one liners and a smart mouth that will leave you wanting more. Tattooed, gorgeous and yes, goodness deep down inside.

If I didn't love this story for anything other than the humor, that would be enough. This book had me laughing out loud from the very first encounter. Some of the imagery Moore managed to create, along with the steamy sexual attention between Bryson and Baya alone was enough to keep me interested and reading on. And I really did love Baya and Bryson. They had a lot of chemistry and not all of it was sexual. They did in their own flirty way become friends first and I really liked that about their relationship. I like that even though that spark was there from their first meeting, they didn't jump right into a relationship.

This was a fun entertaining read without too much angst. Yes they had their problems but for the most part once they decided to become a couple, they were pretty solid and that was nice to see. No love triangles, not break ups, just a sweet romance, one naughty brother, two great friends, another hot brother, and one psycho person from the past.

  1. I have read one of her YA books and it didn't end well for either of us. I couldn't get into the story so unfortunately I didn't enjoy it. I'm glad that you enjoyed this one but it's NA and therefore hardly for me. Great review :)

  2. I think the thing about bad boys is that we all want to be THAT special to someone who doesn't think highly of anyone else. :) Probably.
This sounds lovely! I don't read much NA but I might just give this a chance.

  3. I have a thing for bad boys too, and I think it's because I am so not a rule breaker or risk taker. I drive between the lines and they help me loosen up and live a little. This sounds really good..I have not tried this author.
