WoW Pick of the Week

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine. It is a chance to share those new releases were are super anxious to get our hands on and read.

Okay this one like last week, isn't a normal pick for me. Yes I love ghost stories but I wasn't a huge fan of  The Lovely Bones and so having that in the description makes me a little nervous but that darn cover whore in me can't resist the cover on this one and the rest of the synopsis is appealing so even though I think I might get burned by this one, I still want to give it a try.

Book Description:

A haunting mystery, romance in the vein of The Lovely Bones by New York Times bestselling author.

"The yard of this house is a graveyard of moments and everything left behind is a clue. And I am here to dig."

There's a ghost haunting 208 Water Street. She doesn't know who she was, or why she's still here. She does know that she is drawn to Maggie, the new girl in town, and her friends - beautiful, carefree Pauline and Liam, the boy who loves her.

But the ghost isn't all that's lurking in Gill Creek... Someone is killing young girls all across the county. Can the ghost keep these three friends safe? Or does she have another purpose?

  1. I wasn't a fan of Jodi's Tiger Lily, but ghost books are really intriguing and interesting. I might still check this out. Lovely pick!

  4. I've had Tiger Lilly on my need to read list (someday) and this sounds interesting as well. Is this also know as The Vanishing Season? Ghost stories are hard to resist, and this one sounds like it has all that yummy, spooky atmosphere going on that I usually like. I can't wait to see what you think of it, Ali :)

    1. They are hard to resist! I have had her other book in my TBR since it came out as well and just haven't made the time for it but I know I will for this one because of the whole ghost theme. Crazy huh?

  5. It seems like every book with a ghost is compared to The Lovely Bones. I just Feral and that was compared and it was completely different. Though I guess it was trying to figure out the murderer. Anyway, this one sounds GREAT! Love ghost books!
