Sunday Post

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
~this meme was inspired in part by ~ In My Mailbox~
It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

I can't believe August is officially here, where has the summer gone?

I am so excited for this month and I can't even tell you why other than I always get excited when school is just around the corner. The shopping! I love the shopping. It was always my most favorite thing about back to school, okay, it might have been my only likable thing about going back to school other than seeing all those friends you hadn't seen all summer once again.

There is just something fun about all the new clothes and school supplies. I love the smell of a new box of crayons (strange right?)

Anyways, I finally got some books read this past week so I don't feel like such a huge failure for the month of July. I think in total I read 24 books total, which was actually better than I thought I had done. I think one was a novella though so really 23. Not bad considering about 4 of them were this last week alone.

Here is to hoping August is a little kinder to me reading wise.

This past week on the blog it was a busy week for cover reveals! So many of them but they are all fabulous so if you haven't checked them out yet I encourage you to do so. :)

I wasn't as good with downloading books this week, darn Edelweiss and Harper Collins for all their wonderful books!

Of course I don't really mean that, what I mean to say is, THANK YOU as always for giving me the opportunity to read and review all of your wonderful stories. :)

Here is what I picked up:

  6. Yeah, I used to love back to school shopping, but it's just not the same anymore. No buying crayons here .... :(

I saw all of Harper Collins books on Edelweiss, but non of them really interested me enough. Maybe that'll change in a week or a month.

  7. Omg. I LOVE smelling a new box of crayons :') Especially if it's Crayola...

HarperCollins just spoils us on EW. I grabbed a bunch of titles too but didn't grab all the ones that caught my attention since I am not completely sure I'd enjoy them. With all the reading I need to do for September, I am trying to hold back a little with the downloading and requesting .-.

Fantastic Haul, Ali and I hope you have a great week!! :)

  9. I am so excited to hear what you think about all these wonderful books! :D Especially Liars, Inc as it sounds really intriguing + right up my alley. :D (It's weird though...when I go on EW and search for it, there's no request button. Oh well!)

Thanks for sharing and happy reading Ali! <3

  10. I remember as a teen being so excited about having new clothes to wear for school. It wasn't a huge amount...I think we had a budget of $100 each and even in the mid-80s that didn't buy much! But it was still fun to have new stuff to wear.

  11. That's great you got a lot of books read this past month. Back to school shopping was always my favorite part of starting school too.

  13. As a child I loved new school supplies. I loathe shopping though. I am a run in, get what it is I need, eyes straight ahead in and out type of gal. My oldest is like my MIL she loves to browse and goes to the mall on purpose!

    1. I do avoid the mall but I love looking on other stores. I am not a huge shoppers although I use to be in high school like most girls were.

  14. Are you kidding reading twenty some books is awesome. I read eleven in July but I didn't read much that month. Normally I read about fifteen. I love back to school stuff but I dont' get to buy supplies since the school provides them. Oh well. We still are heading out for clothes. You have a great week coming up interested to see what you thought of the new Hoover book.
