Review: On the Fence by Kasie West

Title: On the Fence
Author: Kasie West
Series: Stand Alone
Published By: Harper Teen (July 1, 2014)
Source: ARC Copy Provided by the Publisher (in exchange for an honest review)
Genre: YA Contemporary Romance
My Rating: 4 Stars!

Book Description:
She's a tomboy. He's the boy next door…

Charlie Reynolds can outrun, outscore, and outwit every boy she knows. But when it comes to being a girl, Charlie doesn't know the first thing about anything. So when she starts working at a chichi boutique to pay off a speeding ticket, she finds herself in a strange new world. To cope with the stress of her new reality, Charlie takes to spending nights chatting with her neighbor Braden through the fence between their yards. As she grows to depend on their nightly Fence Chats, she realizes she's got a bigger problem than speeding tickets-she's falling for Braden. She knows what it means to go for the win, but if spilling her secret means losing him for good, the stakes just got too high.

Fun, original, and endearing, On the Fence is a romantic comedy about finding yourself and finding love where you least expect.

I am a huge fan of West's after reading her Pivot Point Series and I have been meaning to try one of her contemporary reads for awhile now and when I saw this seriously cute cover and even cuter synopsis for this one I knew I had found the one for me.

On the Fence is the best kind of story. The kind that makes your heart skip a beat and your breath catch. The kind that puts a big goofy grin on your face and makes your heart melt into a big pile of goo.

This review is seriously going to lack because it isn't even going to come close to portraying how wonderful this book was. How much it made me smile and feel and fall in love with the writing and the characters. I just couldn't get enough of it and I didn't put it down until I was done with it and even then, I had a huge smile on my face and I was thinking about Charlie and Braden for a  long time afterward.

West amazes me how real her characters feel and how quickly you can become wrapped up in their world. I will continue to read her books because they are fabulous, they make me happy and I just can't get enough of them.

  6. I love it when a author is capable of branching out and writing more than one genre (sub-genre, whatever). I've had my eye on this too, and now I'm even more excited to read it. Great review!
